The road to Tampere - 1 week to go

Excitement is building for the 5th IAADS Open European Athletics Championships and 2nd ITTADS Open European Table Tennis Championships for athletes with Down syndrome.  The Games will take place from 24–29 of July 2019 in Tampere, Finland and are organised by the Finnish Sports Association of Persons with Disabilities, together with the local sports clubs Pyrintö and PT 75.

Tampere is the third largest city in Finland and is situated between two lakes – Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi.  The city centre is dominated by industrial heritage, the beautiful national landscape of Tammerkoski rapids and historical red brick buildings.  It is a popular tourist destination and the perfect Summer backdrop for this European Open.

75 athletes from 12 countries will participate in a display of talent, dedication and hard work.  Show your support - let’s encourage these inspiring athletes to reach for new heights!
